About Teen Science Café

The 4-week, summer LETS GO Teen Science Café (TSC) Program engages high school students in STEM and leadership activities. Students collaborate with leaders and STEM experts on presentations and hands-on STEM activities to launch the first youth-led Café in Washington DC in August. Teens take the lead in planning and executing the TSC event, fostering teamwork, leadership, and communication skills, while gaining experience in financial planning, decision-making, and public relations.

Teen Science Cafés serve as collaborative hubs where teenagers, along with adult mentors and STEM experts, synergize to curate engaging presentations and hands-on activities. Every Café is meticulously orchestrated by the teens, providing a low stake setting for their peers to delve into cutting edge scientific subjects. Guided by adult mentors, youth are organized into teams responsible for all aspects of the Café, including programming, outreach, logistics, and event coordination.
