Program Manager- Middle/High School STEM and Workforce Readiness Programs

LETS GO Boys and Girls (LETS GO) is a nonprofit organization committed to creating economic success for underserved and marginalized communities through STEM education and workforce development. In partnership with Title 1 K-12 schools and youth organizations, we build equitable, relevant, and engaging programs that prepare historically excluded students for the STEM-powered workforce. We are seeking a Program Manager to join our dedicated team to design and implement STEM Education and Workforce readiness programs for youth, soliciting ongoing community input and feedback. The successful candidate must be based in or near Washinton DC, comfortable with working with middle and high school-age youth, and able to effectively collaborate with community partners. This is a hybrid position, with opportunities to work from home weekly.


As a Program Manager, you will:

-Be an active member of the District Team

· Work collaboratively to develop and deliver on short- and long-term goals and objectives using agreed-upon growth strategy

· Recruit and manage contracted educators and/or volunteers to support program implementation in Washington DC

-Facilitate Out-Of-School Time Middle and/or High School Programs

· Pilot Teen Science Café Program, based on the National Teen Science Café Model

· Support the development of STEM competition teams within the city

· Develop and curate curriculum and other experiential learning opportunities related to STEM and workforce readiness

Recruit and retain youth participants for programs and activities offered by and in conjunction with LETS GO

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with community beneficiaries and leaders.

· Maintain relationships with partner staff, administration, and counselors to ensure program efficacy

· Coordinate event/program logistics with vendors and support staff; including planning, training, and material preparation.

-Other Responsibilities

· Support organization-wide communications team in the development of Washington DC-focused stories, press releases, and testimonials.

· Assist in the development and management of program budgets, grant narratives and grant reports

· Support program evaluation efforts, including data collection, student tracking, and the creation of assessment tools to ensure continuous program improvement

· Perform administrative support duties and other tasks as assigned

Our ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, counseling or a STEM/STEM-related field

Minimum 3 years experience working in education, youth development, or another student support setting

Experience working with middle and/or high school-age youth preferred

Experience working with STEM and/or college and career readiness curriculum preferred

Solid time management and organizational skills

Passion for mission achievement coupled with a strong sense of integrity

Well-developed interpersonal skills

Creative and flexible approach to problem-solving

Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workplace, and general comfort with learning new software

Ability to work independently and seek support in a timely fashion (as needed)

Reliable personal transportation. Comfort with travel to sites within the DC metro area and transporting materials needed for program delivery. (Note: Must supply proof of auto insurance.)

This full-time hourly position offers a starting salary between $50,000 to $55,000 depending on education and professional experience. Benefits package includes:
